ΙΕΡΑ - ΝΙΚΟΠΟΛΙΣ Nike standing front, head to left, holding wreath in her right hand. BMC 10. Calomino 2/1-2. RPC I online 1364. Slightly rough and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.

ΚΤΙΣΜΑ ΣΕΒΑΣΤΟΥ literally means 'foundation of Augustus'. The inscription refers to the founding of the city of Nicopolis - the name meaning 'city of victory' - located at the entrance to the Ambracian Gulf, not far from the site of Augustus’ great victory over Mark Antony at the Battle of Actium.
